friday's shoe of the week: swarovski candy cane chuck taylors

why do they not make these for adults? these little kid's chuck taylor all-stars for $79.99 are embellished with real swarovski crystals. though the laces remind me of a minty-delicious candy cane, these shoes really could be worn year-round.

big black velvet bows

I'm undecided as to whether I like these david wyatt olive green satin sandals with big, black velvet bows vertically adorning the tops. I kind of like them because they're playful, and the contrast between the satin and the velvet – both in color and fabric – is quite nice.

but they also kind of look like puppies with floppy ears. like a basset hound or something.

what do you think, dear readers? like? no?

and besides, if you can't wear glitter shoes around the holidays, when can you...right?

tacky or not tuesday: the kathyrn boot by kamik

these kathyrn boots by kamik kind of look like plaid on drugs, don't they? in a way, they seem a little bit "too much," but given that nearly all of kamik's rain boots feature colorful patterns that look like they were designed on acid, you can't help but appreciate them.

so, tacky or not? verdict: not!

what do you think?
