jcrew's "about a shoe"

I recently received the latest jcrew catalog in the mail, and while halfheartedly browsing through it yesterday, a handful of pages harnessed my full attention – a special section on "about a shoe," which is a documentary the staff made in italy about how jcrew's shoes are made. did you know that the mill that makes jcrew's shoes keeps every single sample ever created with all the original sketches? can you imagine?!

I'll admit, I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet (see it here), but the photos are enough to make me want to crawl under my desk at work with my laptop and some earphones!
