tacky or not tuesday: louboutin gressimo gingham knot pumps

I know, I know, I know. can you believe I'm actually questioning a louboutin? allow me to explain. just because I would cut off my right arm and poke out my left eye for this shoe doesn't necessarily mean you would, or that my next-door neighbor would for that matter. I mean, bright red gingham peep-toe pumps with a 5-inch heel and 1-inch-plus platform? I could forgive you for thinking they're tacky! 

I, however, adore them and would love to wear them with denim capris, a fitted white v-neck t-shirt and oversized, tortoise-shell sunglasses. unfortunately for me, they're $875.  

would you cut off an appendage for these pumps? or do you think they're just too loud? 

in any case, I like the way neiman marcus styled them here, against a porcelain blue background that really makes the shoes pop.
