clearance!

can I ask you guys something? when you happen upon what you consider a serious score at a clearance sale, do you ever stop to consider that maybe it's so deeply discounted because in reality it's quite ugly, and here you are, loving it?

then again, if you're loving it, who cares!

I ask because I stopped by macy's a few days ago ("just browsing" :-) and walked out with these $52 shoes for a whopping $13. (the uppers are wrapped in silk and have a beautiful texture and sheen.) it occurred to me as I was leaving that perhaps they were so cheap because, um, no one else wanted them.

of course, they're also a size 10. once in a blue moon, it pays to have enormous feet!
