when I first saw these ankle boots from aldo, I was less than thrilled. they kind of looked like a cross between a log cabin and an alpaca.

male monday: allen edmonds
on new year's eve, I went men's suit shopping with my fiancé (wow, saying that makes me feel grownup!) and we went to a store that sold allen edmonds men's shoes. I have to admit, I don't know a whole lot about shoes for guys, but these knocked my socks off! beautiful leather, simple designs and they're made in the united states (although I secretly covet all shoes made in italy).
as I turned a shoe over in my hand, I thought, "there is just nothing like a well-crafted, high-quality leather shoe." there's really not.
